I don't know if you heard, but yesterday Jennifer Hudson's Mother and Brother were both killed in their Chicago home on yesterday. They were shot to death. The man above(William Balfour) is the alleged killer, who is the husband of Jennifer's sister. So senseless, crazy, UTTERLY HORRIFIC, and tragic!
Here is a picture of Jennifer here with her mom Darnell. I remember an interview she gave to Ebony, when she said her family was her world and that they kept her grounded. I cannot even begin to imagine what she is going through.
This her brother . He was only 29 years old.
Jennifer Hudson's 7 year old nephew is now missing too!
So sad! My heart goes out to her family.
To my amazement, I am not pointing any fingers, but why was Jennifer's mom still living in ENGLEWOOD, for those of you who don't know that is a very ROUGH part of Chicago. You would think they would have moved out of that very violent neighborhood. My mom spent her teenage years in ENGLEWOOD, and it was not bad. You couldn't pay me to live in this area now. And someone who was doing as well as she was doing, I just don't know why her mom was still in that run down area. I am not saying this would have prevented her death or the death of Jennifer's brother...it's just a thought.
Please say a prayer for the Hudson family!!!!

this is absolutely heartbreaking! Just goes to show you that noone is immune to violence. I hadn
t heard that they suspected the husband. So they think he has the kid? I can't imagine how much pain jennifer Hdson is in right now. My heart goes out to her.
Some people at my job were saying why didn't Jennifer move her family. I heard Jennifer tried but MOM didn't want to.There are thou's of people,( in major cities with crime & don't want to move to suburbia.Many on the South Side of Chicago, or Compton,Detroit or Pittsburgh.
What's interesting is that no one has questioned why the news reporter (that was beaten at home and later died) lived in her home.
Domestic Violence can and does happen anywhere and so does crime.
My prayers are for Jennifer,her family, friends and neighbors during this difficult time.
