It's back

THE ARTIC ORANGE MILKSHAKE!!!! I totally love this shake. It reminds me of baby aspirin, but I still love it. I treated myself and the kids to large artic orange shakes today. It was soooooooo good. I remember when I was younger, we used to flock to McDonald's when they came back. I don't know why McDonald's just doesn't make this a permanent Milk shake!

I am still getting prepareed for my out of town guest. I have $hit load of stuff to do still. I am about to clean my kitchen and finish cooking dinner. So I can watch So you Think you can Dance. Love, Love this show! My favorite couple is Donyelle and Benji. Boy can they move!
Well, I better get off my butt and get moving!

Tragedy strikes

I have not been online been dealing with a lot. My brother's fiance lost her mother in a car crash last week. She is really having a hard time dealing with the loss of her mom. There were 4 passengers in the car and her mom was the only one who died. They were rear ended and flipped off the overpass and the mother died shortly after the crash. Crystal's(my brother's fiance), sister Danielle was driving. She was injured pretty bad, but survived. She keeps blaming herself. It was a hit and run at that. I feel so sorry for Crystal. Too add insult to injury they all started fighting, The older sister Bebe blamed Danielle, so they were rolling around in the grass fighting....my brother had to break it up. It was just horrible. I feel so sorry for their family. Please say a prayer for them.....

Other than that I have been doing well. I won 500 dollars! I told you guys I am the scratch off queen, but I found a new game called Pick and Play.....Bingo. I bought four tickets, won 3, won 3 dollars again, then sorry not a winner, then 500 dollar winner...wohooo. I just jumped for joy. Took the kids shopping! Hubby and I went out to dinner and the movies....lol

Not much going on, getting my house prepared, we are expecting guests from Minnesota on Saturday. So i have been doing alot of cleaning. Other than that, things have been pretty quiet!

Until next time...

Me got some cleaning to do!

Boy is my house a mess! To be honest, I haven't been doing much of anything just feeling lazy. I got up cleaned the kitchen and cooked breakfast, now I am about to mop all the floor and vaccuum all the rooms. I am happy to report I am finally caught up on laundry, but for how long is the question....lol My oldest is gone, he is at my mom's helping her to get prepared for a dinner party she's having Saturday..I will be at a company picnic on that day, I hope I can make it. She will never let me live it down if I don't.

I had a rather good mail day today. I got my Me book today from ideabooks4u.com/. Can't wait to actually sit down and read it cover to cover. that wwill be my treat after I do all the cleaning. My helper is gone. He's helping my mom.. My arm is burning like hell, I was cooking grits, and they popped up on my arm....wohoo. Nothing in the world like a grit burn! Yes, I aam an old country girl...lol

I am going to try and get something productive done today, but who knows. Dana

Little Divas...

Took these pics of my daughter and my niece! They look too cute!

Jaree 7 and Aaliyah 9

My niece and daughter are like vinegar and oil. They argue and fight all the time. Yet, they cannot live without each other. Snapped this one of them the other day before they ran off to the park to get the boys. They are so bossy! They totally want to run their brother's lives....lol. I just could not resist taking these pics of the girls. They love the camera, so it wasn't hard. Wished my boys were like that! Taking pictures of them is like pulling teeth.

I want to take a picture of all3 of my kids for my banner. Once I figure out how to change it. Dana

I love this crazy man!

As I watched him sleep last night! I realized just how much I love him. I realized just how incomplete my life would be without him. We have been together since I was 16 years old and I can't imagine anybody else I would rather be with (you know, besides LL Cool J...lol just kidding). He is truly my soul mate. He compliments me in every way! He is truly my best friend. We have so much fun together. He is an excellent husband and an even better father.

We have shared so much together over the years! We have been through alot. I will always and forever love this man. He will always be my honey-bunny!!!

We are home!!!

We had a blast. The kids were so not ready to come home. We stayed on an extra day, so that the kids could have more time, but had to come home hubby has a gig today. We had so much fun! I have to say I am a survivor of the HOWLING TORNADO. Its a tube slide, that has a huge drop into this funnel that you go side to side while water gushes you all over, before you spiral out into the pool. I tell you one thing, I am not in shape.....lol Those stairs almost killed me. I told them they needed to invest into some escalators. Especially, when my kids had me running up the stairs 3 times in a row. Boy, I am feeling my age. The Great Wolf had the most awesome Breakfast buffet, I am talking about make your own omelets, pancakes, french toast, homemade waffles, sausage, bacon, ham, steak, country fried steak, grits, eggs, oatmeal......fresh fruit, you name it they had it. I was thrilled! LOL

The room was great. Everything was in log cabin theme. My kids are so silly, they were outside on the deck howling at the moon. Hint, hint, we stayed at the GREAT WOLF LODGE....my kids are such cornballs....lol

They are already planning our next stay....the kids that is. They want to come back before school starts. We will see....lol Hope you enjoy the pics.... DAna

ETA: For some reason blogger won't allow me to upload pics...will try later. Dana

Guess what? I found a computer!

I just found out that the resort we are staying at has a computer! Wohoo! I am happy to report we are having a blast. We are going to be waterlogged by the time we make it home. The resort is absolutely breathtaking. The kids were so overwhelmed at first, but now they are working this place like a pro. We are coming home on Thursday afternoon! I took some pics. Can't wait to post. Dana

Going on VACATION!!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!! We are leaving tommorrow for vacation. We are going to Wisconsin Dells. 5 days 4 nights! Can't hardly wait. We are going to Noah's Ark, we are staying at the Great Wolf hotel and it has an indoor waterpark. We are going to be waterlogged, when we get home. I have to really keep a close eye on Jaree. Although she has been seizure free since January, a seizure in water would be lethal for her. So I have to be extra careful. I don't want to ruin her fun, so I just will keep her in sight at all times. Couldn't live with myself if anything happened to her.

I am doing laundry and cleaning house right now. I have to get myself and 3 children packed so I am running like a chicken with my head cut off right now. We are leaving at 5am, so I must get everything prepared tonight! The kids are so exicted. I must make sure I get a waterproof camera and bring my camera along for the excitement! I will be home Thursday evening. So won't be bloggin'

Until next time.

Yikes!!!

Today is 6-6-6, call me superstitious but it gives me the willies! Can't wait until tommorrow....lol. My dh and I are going to see the Omen, on Friday, at a place called Dinner and a movie. It's so nice, they serve you dinner and you sit in the most comfortable leather recliners. It's called Hollywood Blvd. Not taking the kids to see this one, no way, now how. My teenager is going with friends, but not my 9 and 7 year old. Especially the 7 year old, she would be in my bed for days. I learned my lesson with that....lol

Today, I don't have nothing much planned. I am going to clean out my closet. It's horrible. Other than that, who knows. I did pick up two mags yesterday. The new Memory Makers and the June/July Scrapbook Answers, so I will be reading those. I am retreating to the house today. LOL

My baby graduated!

Its official! I have a high schooler....lol My son graduated this Thursday! It was very emotional for me. I can't believe how fast he has grown up. My first born! He looked so cute! I love him to bits. The graduation ceremony was awesome. Unbeknowst to us, the teachers had been taking video and pictures of the students since six grade and they had a video compilation of all the students. I was crying like a baby! I am so proud of him. He is such a good kid! His grades were excellent all A's and B's and one C. We all went out to eat after graduation ceremony. Took pics too. Enjoy! Dana

Goldie, the king!!!

I have tons of pets. I have a kitten named Smokey, formerly the cat known as Charcoal and Spooky. His name has changed more than Elizabeth Taylor has husbands...lol. I have 3 crazy turtles. I have hermit crabs. One crazy beta fish named Angelica, one gecko named Lizzy, but of all my pets GOLDIE IS KING. He is my very spoiled Chihuhua/rat terrier mixed b.k.a Chi-rat! He is so spoiled. He lives to get his tummy rubbed! He wants to eat what we eat. He cries when he doesn't get his way. He is one spoiled brat! We love him to death! He came at a time, when we needed him most. I got him a week after my beloved cat Liono passed away. Goldie is like my child. I love him so much!! He loves us too! He is so protective of me and the children. My husband and i were play fighting and Goldie snapped at him. He is a sorry loser. When we play, we have to constantly tell him he won or he will whine. He is so adorable. And he is the one true king! We tell him that all the time. We hold him in the air (like Simba) and tell him he is the one true king. He loves it!

Fum Friday

FUN FRIDAY! F is for FAMILY. What do you love about your family? what do you dislike about your family? Your family or extended? U is for UNEXPECTED. What is something unexpected that has ever happened to you? N is for NATURE. What is it, in nature, that you absolutely love? Anything that just make you reel in awe of God's creation?

Family- I love my family so much! They are my world. We are very close. I love how close my sibling and I are...I love how close my mom and I are. My children absolutely adore my dad! Their cousins are more like brother and sister. I love my childre
n more than life itself. My husband and I are the best of friends.! I could not ask for a better family! Some of the things I don't like about my family is that they can be very opinionated and nosey! Other than that we are cool beans!

Unexpected- One of the most unexpected things that I happened to me in my life was finding SCRAPBOOKING! It was totally unexpected. My daughter was just a little baby. I was reading an issue of Parents magazine, and was blown away by an article on Memory Booking. I was so intrigued, I ran to Michaels in search of Memory booking material. I bought about 5 different kits and came home lost! I was overwhelmed. I called Michaels to find if they offered any classes and low and behold, I found out that they had a 3 day class! The rest is history. I have met so many wonderful people that enjoy the same hobby as I do. I have experienced such wonderful things. I dare say, it has made me a better and well-rounded individual. I am so passionate about my hobby. I live, eat, and sleep scrapbooking. I don't know where I would be, hadn't I found this WONDERFUL hobby. It allowed me to tap in to my inner child and my creative side! I love it!

Nature- Having grown up with my grandmother who is Native American, I have a great appreciation for nature. I love the smell of grass, walking on nature trails, swimming in Lake Michigan, gazing at the stars. I am a true rugged outdoorsy girl. One of the most, wonderful things, is going out on my moms pier overlooking the lake, and watching the ducks. It is so soothing to me. Watching the long neck cranes come down and nourish their bodies. Watching the rabbits frolick and play. Its awesome! Of all things, I love autumn, I love the colorfulness of it! Watching the trees turn colors, the wind has a different feel, the smell of Autumn is so different. It is my most favorite time of the year!

Until next time..... Dana
