Crazy. My son Jariel is the one on the far left with the cowboy hat on. He is so silly, we went to pick up a few groceries and he brought along a couple of his buddies...(I don't know why we make the simplest trips A FIELD TRIP...LOL, but anyway) and they found these hats and acted pure FOOLS.....

Today I am cleaning. Gettting everything ready for our big day tommorrow.

I will be gone for most of the day, so I decided to get all cleaning done today as well as laundry. I have been up since 6am cleaning.

So we spent 2 hours in party city with Jaree ....
She didn't know what freaking costume she wanted once she got there.

All month, actually for 2 months she's been wanting to be BATGIRL. I said ok....

So we went into Party city (dreading it all the way), because this is so typical of Jaree!!! We ending up standing in this long line for to try on 5 different costumes...

And you guessed it ... She did not pick BATGIRL...

She picked the SWEET BEE.... Batgirl was toooo plain. I could have just killed this kid.

Jariel and Bee, super duper easy ...ALL THEY WANTED WAS MASKS!!!

JAREE Had to get a 35 dollar costume. Figures!!!

I don't know what I am going to do with this kid!

The kids are really excited about Halloween!

Me too. I love watching horror movies. I love looking at all the creepy stuff!!!
We always go to my mom, she cooks a big pot a chili and we have a blast!!!!

I am so excited that is on a weekend this year!!!!

well, I am off to Walmart, gotta pick up dinner and some toilet paper .....LOL

I swear my kids must eat the stuff! LOL
I buys tons of toilet paper, and they use it so quickly.

Another tragedy strikes the Hudson family

It has just been reported that the body of  a young male child was found in the missing Suburban taken from the Hudson home.  This is so sad!  So heinous!  So SURREAL.  I cannot even begin to wrap my mind around this.   So sad!!

On Saturday, My youngest son Jariel was hit by a car.  He is doing fine  Just bruised and sore.  His leg were hurt.  The person fled. He hit my child and just left him there.  I was BEYOND PISSED OFF!  He knocked him off his feet and didn't even stop to see if he was ok.  Jariel is only 12 and didn't get a license plate number.   I just bawled.  Because it could have been so much worse.  Jariel  kept telling me he was ok, but still it just shows that you cannot protect our children all the time.

I just praise God, thanking him, because Jariel  was spared.  

Today not much planned!  I am having work done on the house.  Just got the exterior painted.  They redid my bathroom.  The tiles were cracking in the shower, and so we put new tiles up and I had the tub re-glazed.  Looks like a brand new tub..

I am having the entire house painted before the holidays and the carpets cleaned.  It's going to look like a BRAND NEW HOUSE WHEN WE ARE DONE.  WOHOO!

I am going to leave you with this:  Kiss your kids! Tell them you love them everyday, don't miss a day, don't miss  a moment.  Life is so precious and as we all see on too many occasions, TOO SHORT!!

Crazy and senseless

I don't know if you heard, but yesterday Jennifer Hudson's Mother and Brother were both killed in their Chicago home on yesterday. They were shot to death. The man above(William Balfour)  is the alleged killer, who is the husband of Jennifer's sister.  So senseless, crazy, UTTERLY HORRIFIC,  and tragic!

Here is a picture of Jennifer here with her mom Darnell.  I remember an interview she gave to Ebony, when she said her family was her world and that they kept her grounded.  I cannot even begin to imagine what she is going through.

This her brother .  He was only 29 years old.

Jennifer Hudson's 7 year old nephew is now missing too!

So sad!  My heart goes out to her family.  

To my amazement, I am not pointing any fingers, but why was Jennifer's mom still living in ENGLEWOOD, for those of you who don't know that is a very ROUGH part of Chicago.  You would think they would have moved out of that very violent neighborhood.  My mom spent her teenage years in ENGLEWOOD, and it was not bad.  You couldn't pay me to live in this area now.  And someone who was doing as well as she was doing, I just don't know why her mom was still in that run down area.  I am not saying this would have prevented her death or the death of Jennifer's brother...it's just a thought.

Please say a prayer for the Hudson family!!!!

Another proud mama moment

So "B, my oldest son got a call for an interview to Sonic!!! He was so excited and so NERVOUS!!! He did mock interviews with his dad and friend Michelle. He practiced and practiced and rehearsed and rehearsed. So I knew he had the job in the bag! He cames homw with this long face, saying they didn't hire him because he wasn't 16 yet. Even though they don't open until November 10th and he would be 16 November 2nd. So I was sad. He had this long face seen above.



Then he tells me he was just kidding!!! I could have killed him. That's him doing his happy dance! " you go boy, get busy!"

That's him texting all his friends to tell them the news. My baby is on CLOUD NINE!!!

CONGRATULATIONS BABY!!!!

On the agenda today: Being glued in front on the television at 8pm, to watch SUPERNATURAL!!! HOUSE IS CLEAN! Hooray!!

Rambling Tuesday

I am almost ashamed to admit how into the Soaps I am......

I was bawling my eyes out because Babe (AMC)is going to die....
I was literally crying my eyes out....

Anyway don't tell anyone ...LOL

I am mad at OLTL for how they just kicked Adriana to the curb. Rex was so in love with her, and all of sudden he loves ugly arse Gigi....she is not cute at all and I hate her hair!!! Yes I am a Gigi hater....and when the hell are they going to catch Tess, she's had Natalie and now Jared locked up in the basement for how long now..... and for that matter when are they going to catch Todd, he is so wrong for keeping her away from her Child Cole......ughhhhh!!!

My new guilty pleasure is SCARE TACTICS....I love this show. Comes on tonight and I love Tracy Morgan as the host. That show is soo funny.

Ok now this is a real guilty pleasure did any watch Real Chance at Love?????? It was so goood!!! If you don't know what i am talking about it's a spin off from I Love New York season 1. Contestanst REal and brother Chance have their own show to get a shot at love!!! These women , well I cannot ever explain it in words..You just have to watch it....

I also the FIRST 48, this show sends chills down my spine. It a homicide show in which they have 48 hors to find the killer. So good!

My favorite show is SUPERNATURAL.....comes on Thursdays.....

Well enough about Television...

Today I don't have much planned. I have to run to Target and pick up a few things, plus I am dying for a Vanilla Bean Frapp from Starbucks.... saw this cute purse and I just have to have it!!!

I have two sick kids home today! That would be Bonnie and Clyde!!! They have horrible colds and I have been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off taking care of those two little boogers...

Jaree says "Mom I have to get better by Halloween" I said "Honey I am sure you will be"

That kids is always thinking ahead...

I have to go tommorrow to pick up their costumes...I am such a procrastinator. Jaree is so big, she may need to get a teen costume. She's is a size 14/16 kids and costumes run small. Guess I will cross that bridge when I get there...

We are going ot Frigh Fest this weekend. The kids are so excited. They can hardly wait!!!
I can't wait either!!!

Warned ya, told you this is a rambling post...LOL

I had the craziest dream. I dreamed I gave birth to the cutest little girl!!! she had black curly hair, big ole eyes, and was the color of cocoa butter. Since I had a tubligation 9 years ago, I know it AINT ME, and I hope it's not my teenage son either. LOL But the dream was too real to just dismiss, kwim???

Well, gotta go. I have to prepare dinner. Roast. mashed pototatoes, succatassh and corn bread.

A Mother's Proud Moment

I couldn't be more proud. Last Thursday, my baby Jaree was HONORED for excelling in all areas of the ISAT Awards, My baby is only is the 4th grade and reads at a high school Freshman level. She has always had a love for reading. She is considered to be gifted in the areas of Language Arts and REading.

You cannot imagine my joy, because Jaree has had SEVERAL GRAND MAL SEIZURES, and in 2006 almost died......

They thought that my baby would never speak, walk, or even regain consciousness....

She is a MIRACLE...

She received a GOLD MEDAL and I just bawled!!!!

I think I had to be the proudest parent there, considering all Jaree has been through...

Alll the odds she BEAT!!!!!

I AM STILL BASKING IN DELIGHT....

Jaree baby!! Congratulations....

You make your mommy so proud...

and I think she gets her reading genius from MOMMY, I too was considered gifted in REading....

She has me beat as she tested in 3 grades above her self in MATH TOO!!!

What a week

That's what is was in a nutshell.

LEt's see Friday Jariel had his 12th birthday party.
This boy had atleast 70 friends over and they danced the night away.....

It was supposed to end at MIDNIGHT....
let's try 1am....

those kids danced holes in their socks.....

we had the smoke machine going, black lights, and strobe lights...
Of course Baptiste deejayed....
Jariel thought he was a super star....

I was surprised how many parents allowed their kids to stay that late....

A few friends slept over.....

WE had a blast.....

I coooked bbq chicken, hot wings, spaghetti, stringbeans and garlic bread...

those kids could eat....

Saturday, Baptiste and I went out.....
We had so much fun....

Sunday the kids had a powder fight....I took pictures...
It looked like the fog machine was on, but it was just powder...

I made those jokers get it up too!

that's what happens when you don't have school on Monday....

too much time on your hands.

Craziness....

But good fun!!!

Glad for things to be back to normal around here again.....

The weather has been so nice lately......
Can't believe it!!!

The days are growing shorter and the air is getting a little chillier and I am enjoying my mos favorite time of the year.

Yesterday I celebrated my 34th birthday!!!
A lot of mixed emotions.....
boy does time fly....

I remeber waiting anxiously to turn 13 then 16, then 18 then 21, then 25....
Fast forward to today I am 34 years old...

6 years away from 40......

Friday Baptiste and I celebrated early!!!!
We took the boys to the Soulja boy concert and then he, Jaree, I went to Red Lobster!!!! I ate myself into a coma.....

Then on yesterday my mom, sister, aunt, god mom and friends celebrated at my favorite restaurant Pappadeux's. The food was fantabulous.....

My parents gave me 5 crisp 100 dollar bills.....
soooooo unexpected!!! I cried like a baby! I got strict instructions, SPEND EVERY SINGLE DIME ON MYSELF......and nobody else!

My sister bought me a gorgeous purse and she gave me a 50 dollar visa gc and 50 dollar Dots gc!!!!!
My aunt gave me 50 dollars
My godmom gave me 20 dollars
I also got 3 target gc totaling 125 dollars
and one 50 dollar bath and body works gc!!!!
i feel a shopping spree coming on.....

This was one of my best birthdays ever and I got the best compliment ever....
the waiter asked me if I was celebrating my 21st birthday. Wanted to kiss him....

I DO LOOK GOOD FOR 34 IF I MUST SAY SO MYSELF.....LOL

Well, I have to pick Jaree up from my sil's so I have to go....
