It's Friday baby and you already know what time it is...

I am so telling my age here...

this was one of my favorite songs, when I was a child. I used to go downstairs in the basement and pop in (dare I say) the 8 track in my mom's hi-fi. And put it on continuous play.

I have always been a dancer, and even as a young child, I was GONE! Do you hear me...

I love this group PERIOD...
This being my favorite...
a runner up would be Computer Love,

This was the first time I had ever heard a voice synthesizer...it was so funky...

Now look at T-pain...YOU AINT ORIGINAL DOG!!! lol

I used to go to SCREAMING WHEELS roller rink in Gary, Indiana and skate to I had blisters, and when this came on, I had to get off my skates and go dance.

Yes, I am a HOT MESS.

You don't have to tell me....LOL

Today, not much planned. Haven't decided if I am going with Baptiste tonight. I may sit home and CREATE!

Yesterday I cooked the family a big dinner,
I made pot roast, with roasted red potatoes and carrots, lima beans with hamhocks, corn bread, and succatash (sp), it's made with okra, corn, squash, and diced tomatoes. My family loves it.

I cook like "someone's grandmother", that is what Baptiste tells me. I guess that is a good thing. I have been cooking since I was 8 years old.

My grandmother was from Anguila, Mississippi, so I guess I can BURN...lol

She is the one who taught me how to cook. I remember I was playing outside, and I was 7 1/2 and she calls me and says "come here lil fast gal". Every girl, was FAST to my grandmother...LOL

She said "It's time for you to learn something constructive, like learning how to cook...

and I remember being so angry..

Heck, I was playing MR. FREEZE...LOL

I wasn't thinking about cooking..

But what I learned, will benefit me for a lifetime...

My boys know how to cook really well. Especially my 15 year old.

And I have started teaching Jaree...

I was cooking 5 course meals WELL, at 11.

My granny didn't play...

I didn't eat any of that...
I had a turkey sandwhich...boohoo for Dana

I wanted to tear into one of those hamhocks something fierce... Yes, I am a country girl!!!!! Can't help it both sides of my family mom and dad are from Mississippi. LOL

Well, I gotta run...
I think Jaree and Jariel may have went back to sleep, they do that all the time, get ready for school, and then doze off after breakfast, and watching cartoons....ugh!!!

Thank God it's Friday baby!!!

Your dinner sounds delicious! I don't think I've ever heard that song before but I can see why it'd have you dancing. :)

I think it's so cool your grandma taught you to cook. The extent of my cooking instruction from my grandma was "watch out! The oven is hot!" When I was 13 I wanted to yell, "REALLY!? I never noticed!" Maybe that's why I'm not a good cook!
