The Good and the bad....

I will give you the good first. For the most part, I had a GREAT WEEKEND! On Friday we all went to Red Lobster to celebrate my nephew Plukes going away to Las Vegas. We had a great time! Good, Good, food! Then we went out to Meeks for drinks. Well, we had to cut everything short, when we get a call around 1am......I will get back to that later, because I am giving you the good right now.


Saturday, was a busy, busy day. I got up and went to Wal-mart and got my gifts for my sil's baby shower. Spent way too much money. YOu know they make too many cute things for baby girls...LOL I came home showered and layed my clothes out. Took the kids out to Country Club Hills fest. They had a blast. We got funnel cake and home made icecream. Was tooooooo good. The kids rode horses, got their faces painted, jumped in the balloon float, and road the train. We left, I came home and immediately got in my clothes, put my make up on and headed to the baby shower. The baby shower was really nice, my sil doesn't need anything. She got tons.

After, the shower, I was supposed to go to my cousins birthday party, but what happened was?.....LOL I told myself I would take a quick power nap and when I woke up the birds were chirping...LOL

Onto Sunday, we took the kids downtown to Johnny Rockets, and then later that evening we went to the park. Kind of a lazy day!

Well, now it's time to give you bad. You know that phone call I got at 1am, it was from my nephew Marion. Turns out that my son was JUMPED, at a carnival, both him and his best friend, by 20-25 guys. Thank God, he was not hurt. My children have taken Karate since they were little tikes and he defended his self well. He ended up with a small lump on the side of his head. Nic was not so lucky, he ended up being struck in the head with something and ended up getting 5 staples in his head. I was PISSED! So was Baptiste. I hurried over to Worth Police Department because a mom has to see for herself. He told me wasn't hurt, the police told me wasn't hurt, but I couldn't get their fast enough. The kids were trying to tell me how everyone that ran up on Bee got drop kicked or knocked out, didn't care to hear any of that nonsense, just wanted to see my baby. After I looked him over thoroughly, I blasted him for not calling me...I was so angry. But that wasn't even the tip of the iceberg! The prejudice in this world never ceases to amaze me, Worth is predominatley white town. My son was the only black kid involved.... Everyone else was either hispanic or white. Why did the police officer that handled the case, try to turn everything on Bee! He comes out and says that I heard you are the instigator of this whole thing, telling these kids (who are mind you ages 15-19 and bee is 14) you were going to come to Worth and blow it and shouting your gang stuff Pope, pope, this and Pope that, I said first off, get the hell out of my son's face. He's the victim asshole! I said, maybe your department is in the f*(%ing ice ages, but their is no gang call the Pope's. Never heard of it. I said, and foot is too far in his throat to have time to associate with any gang. He is only allowed at a few friends house. I keep a tight reign over my son. I know where he is at ALL TIMES...I said maybe you got a mail ordered badge, because if in fact my son was in a gang, it must be a two man gang, being that he was jumped by 20 plus people and if he was coming to Worth to blow it up, don't you think he would have blown some of the kids up who ATTEMPTED to jump him. He says, maam, to be honest don't believe either sides....I said well, I believe my son...and if you look at his record vs theirs, my son is a POPE as Pope John Paul a saint. He has never been in any trouble. He loooked like a total ass! Turns out 4 of the kids have a record long as my arms and legs put together.....

I took Bee home, and we had a long time about "the choices we make". I had just had a long conversation with God, that morning. I asked that God protect my children and keep them safe. I asked that he would just cover them in his blood. I guess I felt something....

Other than that one incident, my weekend was GRRRREEEEEEAAAAAAATTTT!

Hey Hey, It's Friday!!

Wow, this week sure went by fast! Now its time to relax, NOT! I have such a busy weekend. Today, we are going out with my nephew Pluke (not his real name, his name is Parrish, but its his nickname, in case anyone was wondering...LOL)he is moving to Las Vegas, sin city baby! He leaves Sunday, I am going to be sooooo sad ! Pluke is like our own. Saturday, I have to take Jariel to his 3 on 3 tournament, and then we are going to CCHIlls fest. From there I am going to my sil's baby shower, come home take a quick power nap, before I head to my favorite cousin Cherrones, 28th birthday celebration. I am going to be so toasted, because my cousins are such bad influences.....LOL

Sunday, I will be RESTING.....Don't have anything plan, might swing by parent's house for a little bit, but nothing big.

Dh is off for two days, today and tommorrow, so I might be held hostage for awhile. I will try to post! LOL

Been having a blast

Labor day weekend was a blast, we ate so much, I felt like Violet on Willie Wonka and the Chocholate Factory. LOL We went to a. bbq with friends, then my dad had a company picnic, the kids had a blast! Then I cooked too. I cooked ribs, steak, chicken wings, chicken legs, hot link, turkey legs, and hot dogs. I cooked baked beans, dirty rice, potato salad, spaghetti, corn on the cob, and 7 layer salad. I was dog tired, but we sure ate good. Dh did all the grilling, I just marinated and seasoned the meat.

My nephew Marion is so hilarious. He told us we got our turkey legs off of Ebaby from the Flinstones.....It was soooooooooo funny. YOu had to be there.

Lately I have been doing a lot of soul searching and thinking, about the choices I have made, One being this house....I love the house, but the neighborhood is not all what its cracked up to be. I mean the kids are super mean, my kids constantly getting into it .....I mean everyday, its something. I Love the house, but am not happy with the neighborhood. I keep telling myself winter will be here soon and all will settle down, but what will happen when summer arrives again? I am going to give it some time, but I am growing very unhappy.

Other than that, I have 2 really good set of neighbors! Whom we really get along with good and they feel the same exact way. I am hoping things will get better and soon. If not this house will be on the market and I will be researching my next neighborhood....LOL


ON a brighter note, I am now used to the kids being in school. I love the me time that I have. I have been reading, reading, reading and writing, writing, writing....soon I will be scrapping, scrapping, scrapping.....LOL

I am looking forward to summers end, and welcoming FAll. Which is truly my favorite time of the year! Cooler days! Longer nights! Fun, Fun, Fun....LOL


Well, I have to go and break up a fight between Bonnie and Clyde, seems they are arguing over LOTION.....those two kids.....LOL

The kids are all in school and guess what I have been doing? READING!!!! I have been taking some time for Dana and getting back into my reading. I miss my babies, but time goes by so fast, before you know it their home.


Last time I blogged, we had some pretty horrible storms, I mean horrible. I think we may have even had a tornado. The winds were so strong, that it just anhihilated my patio furniture. The sirens went off, the kids were outside walking the dog when the sirens went off...It turned a really funny orangish color outside and we had some pretty strong winds and hail. We ran in the basement and I thought the windows were going to break. You literally felt the house shaking.... Jaree was hysterical! It lasted for like 45 minutes and then it stopped. Later that night we had more thunderstorms so it was horrible. The power was out for like 8 hours...It was hot and miserable....

Dh celebrated his 33rd birthday on Friday. We went out to Pappadeux's and ate ourselves into an OBLIVION.

He has been on vacation, so he has been keeping me occupied. Instert develish grin! LOL


Yesterday, we had a carbon monoxide scare.. I was cooking and the CO detector went off. REplaced batteries it kept going off. Called the fire dept and we had to evacuate, because the levels were 50. We had to evacacuate until Nicor Gas arrived. When they arrived the levels were 0. I guess it was from cooking. We were taking no chances. The kids were sleepy because we were out of the house until 12 midnight. Talk about a crazy vacation dh has had.....LOL

I am beginning to feel like NOAH...LOL
Wow, we have been getting drenched here in the Midwest. Nothing but rain! It's raining and cool here in Chicago.

What is it about rain that makes you sleepy....I didn't get up until almost 2pm today. I immediately got up cleaned the kitchen, took dinner out, and started laundry. I cannot believe I slept this late.

Bonnie and Clyde start school in 2 DAYS. I am going to miss my babies. Tommorrow I am going to braid Jaree's hair and we are going to go to HOllywood Park. Can't believe their Summer is over. We had some good times. Six Flags, Waterparks, beach, zoo.....we had a blast. Now it's back on the grind.

A lot of parents are glad for their kids to start school, but I must admit I am a little sad. I am going to miss them during the day. I love my kids sooooo much, they are my world. I cannot even fathom what my life would be like without them...
Don't get me wrong, some days they work my LAST NERVE, but I love them to bits!

Wednesday I will be a little misty, but I will get over it....LOL

Crazy car, crazy husband, and crazy son makes Dana very crazy...

Well that was a crazy title.....LOL

First off, My oldest started school yesterday. Can you believe he is a Sophmore? That's one down and 2 more to go...LOL Anyways, I took him shopping yesterday, and he didn't see a thing he liked. We went to three different store, A J Wright, Burlington Coat Factory, and Value City. I was so mad I could spit. But that wasn't the worst of it. Earlier that day, I had picked Bee up from school. He started walking towards the car with his best friend NIcK, Nick rides the bus, so that means Nick missed his bus and guess who they want to drive him home.....ME. ON the way to NIcks house, I hit a pothole, flatten my tire and bend the rim. You know I was mad, because I really didn't want to take Nick home anyway, and in the process I get a flat tire. I go to the neighbors to use the air compressor, that is when I find out I messed up the rim. Now I am livid. I try to start the car to check the time, I am turning the key but nothing happens, not even a sound.


I was home all day cleaning, so I hadn't even had a chance to shower, so I felt so nasty. I had to go in Nick house to use the phone. His mom and mY friend Denise insists I stay inside with her. I told her Denise, i have been cleaning all day and I haven't even showered, and she says well that makes two of, I have been cleaning all day and haven't showered either. I call Dh, who acted a COMPLETE ASS! I won't even go all into it, but he pissed me off so bad, that I am put him ON MUTE ALL DAY TODAY AND YESTERDAY.... Make a long story short, he just dropped the tire off and told BEE to fix it. Bee has never fixed a tire in his life, luckily Ed Denise's neighbor came out and taught the boys how to fix a tire. Nick jacked the car up and Bee removed the tire and put the new tire on, and Ed refused to let the boys tighten the lug nuts. Denise and I did have a good time chatting!

Luckily the car starts, by this time its 6 oclock. The kids are starving and I have a dead lizard in the car that the flies want! I took the Lizard to the store to get a new one, took the kids to Taco Bell, came home to drop the lizard off, and car won't start again... I go inside for awhile comeback to the car and it starts, took a chance to take Bee shopping and we go to Value City and the plan was to leave the car running....but I am so used to taking the keys out of the ignition that I turned the car off, got out of value city and guess what? Car won't start. I figured it just needed some time, so we walked across to Burlington and Aj Wright and come back an hour later, CAR STILL WON'T START. I didn't even want to call Baptiste, but after almost an hour and half, I had called him and you guessed he turned into the ASSINATOR.....the kids were thirsty, so I gave them money to walk to Dominicks which was one lot over.....I just put my hands on the steerring wheel and BAWLED! I decided to give the car one last try and it STARTED! GRABBED THE KIDS, called dh and hoppend on the e-way came home. Got home took the key out, had my neighbor who is a mechanic come and look at it and the car starts back up. It wasn't doing it anymore. Went to the car to take Bee to school this morning and it started. I don't know if I knocked something loose or what, but its been working fine. I am still going to get it looked at.

but that was my wild and crazy day yesterday!

Irrational fear....

Or phobias if you will.... Do you have any? For as long as I can remember, I have had a fear of Clowns. I think the movie IT sealed the deal for me, but long before it was out, I never ever warmed up to clowns. I always kept my distance. I was never one to associate clowns as being fun or funny. They just plain creep me out. Look at the history of clowns, John Wayne Gacy used to dress up as a clown, in the movie Halloween, Michael Myers killed his sister wearing a clown uniform, the movie it..So many bad things have been asssociated with clowns. Let's not forget poor Robbie on Poltergeist, the boy was pulled under the bed and strangled and attacked by a clown....LOL

I also fear porcelain dolls and ventriliquist dummies. The movie Dead Silence just sealed the deal for both of those things.....LOL

I also have a fear of something bad happening to my children, I think that's every mother's worst nightmare.

What are some of your fears....

My mom has a extreme phobia of SNAKES, she won't even look at them on television.....LOL

I can look at clowns but I will run away if one comes near.....LOL

This movie still creeps me out......

I am a total horror movie fan, but this movie gives me the creeps to this day. Especially the part when the little girl opens his makeshift tent and throws up everywhere. Hey, did you know that little girl was none other than Mischa Barton formely of the OC. I don't know why I watch horror movies, they always give me nightmares......LOL

Finally.....

After months of being out of commission, Dell finally helped me fix my NOTEBOOK. I had been using dh's macbook, and he wasn't always willing to share....LOL So I had to get if fixed. I was on the phone 3 hours trying to figure out what was going on with my computer. My wireless network was not working.... They had me do a gazillion things trying to trouble shoot and I got so mad..... Also every one who works for Dell Technical Support, can hardly speak ENGLISH....so I found myself saying "I'm sorry can you repeat that"....until finally I blew a gasket, called back and talked to someone who spoke English CLEARLY....How the hell are you going to let someone work for you that deals with primarily customers in the US, not speak CLEAR English? By this time I am LIVID....

Finally, I get someone who speaks English and helps me fix the problem partially. You did get the PARTIALLY PART RIGHT?

He did get the wireless network connected, but it still was not connecting to the internet, kept getting an error message....after about 25 minutes, both the technichian and I threw in the towel....we were OBVIOUSLY DEFEATED right? He gave me the "CONTACT YOUR INTERNET PROVIDER".

What in the world could Comcast do to fix the problem. It was an internal error, which finally was fixed, but now we had problems with the router.....

So what did I do?

A. Did I slam the computer against the wall and scream like a crazy lady?
B. Did I call Comcast and ask them questions, for which I know they had no answers?
or C. Did I calm myself down with a nice glass of lemonade, take a walk, come back home and try one last idea...



Well, if you picked A, you are not far off, because I came really close to throwing the computer against the wall and screaming like a crazy lady, however I thought C would be more beneficial to me. I decided that I would reset both the modem and router and turn the computers off. I turned them back on and EUREKA.....my computer if fixed. See what you can do when you put your mind to it....LOL


I was stressing over this stupid computer and finally I got it fixed!

So what's been going on with me, nothing much. Just trying to get these kids in order for school Bee starts next week and Jariel and Jaree start in 2 weeks. Time seemed to fly by.....Can't believe summer is almost over....makes me want to cry!!!

We have been getting a lot of storms here too. WE even had a tornado warning today, luckily it all blew over! The kids were little troopers, they were showing me where we could go if a tornado was to come. Ms. Jaree even showed me how to protect my head.....These kids are too flippin smart.

WEll, I am sleepy as all get out, had to get up early to go register Bee for school now I am dog tired....

Sad news....

Last night I got a call from my cousin Cherrone. She was crying hysterically....
Seems like my uncle Marion's cancer has spread to both lungs, kidneys, lymph nodes, everything but the liver...
This is so heart breaking. My aunt Plump has been with Uncle Marion for umphteen years...I don't even know how long. It was before I was born I can tell you that. Please say a prayer for my family.

Guess where I am in.....In my air conditioned house.

Whew.....and when I dropped Bee off with friends, people were actually jogging and walking the bike trails....how crazy is that. Talk about determination and drive....Noway would you catch me exercising in 100 degree weather.....LOL

Today, I am just chilling. Nothing planned today.....I am going to do a ittle scrapping. but that's all!

I have been doing well...
Depression seems to be subsiding....
No one could be more happy than I am about that....LOL

Can you believe the kids will be starting school in just a couple of weeks. Wow, where did the time go? My kids are CRAZY, they are actually ready to start school! LOL

I am taking the kids shopping Saturday, they are excited! Not looking foreward to taking Bee shopping, he's soo expensive, everything has to name brand....he needs a job....LOL

This is my oldest son Bee. He is almost 15 years old. He is going to be a sophmore this year....but he already has a degree in MYSPACE. I just happened to look on his page and found some interesting pictures.

Seems like my son is in love with him self.....LOL

I made him set his myspace to private,I don't wan't just anyone having access. He looks a lot older than his age.

I remember when his dad had abs like that.....LOL

He spends more time grooming himself than a girl. He's very into his look. He'a a HOT MESS....lol

Bored out of my mind.....

and it's my own fault. Dh begged me to go to the club with him tonight,but I wasn't feeling it. My hair is a mess. I know I could have did it, but I just felt so blaw. You know those days when you just don't feel like doing a thing.... Well, today was one of those days. Now all the kids are at our neighbors house and I am just plain bored.

Today, we ordered in pizza. It's normally what we do here on Fridays. I am not a big fan of pizza, but the kids love it! Right, now I am just catching up on email, getting ready to finish my book and then start on the latest MM mag. Nothing exciting.

Still here taking it one day at a time, one step at a time. I am going to make myself blog. It is still something I find comfort in.....

Depression is no JOKE ....
Its so unbelivabley hard to shake...
It robs me of so much...
It's a struggle for me to get out of bed some times...
I really hate to go back on meds, because I hate the way they make me feel....
I just continue to pray that things will look up for me..
I have every reason to be happy, good health, great marriage, beautiful children, new home...
I should be on cloud nine right?

I'm baaaaack.....

Wow,

Can't believe its been this long. First of all let me say ALL IS WELL. Everyone is ok. Just life got so busy. Kwim? We had problems with our internet service and it's finally been taken care of..... I just got it back on yesterday! Thank God. WE had a fabulous fourth. great food. spent it with family. went to firework celebration. bought tons of fireworks.
We still have fireworks you guys. Crazy huh? I was in a funk with my depression for awhile, but am ok now. WE did have a tragic event in the family. My cousin Darryl took his life last week. He was only 41. So sad. He was the only boy of 7 sisters. Our family reunion is Saturday and its going to be so sad.

WE went to six flags great america Saturday had a blast. Do you know MS. JAREE rode every single ride and was not scareed. She is definitely her mother's daughter. A total daredevil. It was 24 of us who went. We had a blast! Didn't get a chance to go to Hurricane Harbor, because it was not warm enough in my opinion, but Bee (my oldest), went with a bunch of his friends. He's growing up, he could not wait to break away from the family.....LOL He was with his girlfriend, his best friend, and his girlfriend's two best friends. I have a real problem with him growing up. I get kinda sad sometimes, but it's all part of life. right? HE's almost 15 years old! I must be getting old, because boy was my feet hurting the next day......LOL We managed to ride 9 coasters and rode 2 waterrides. So fun......


fast forward to today...... I am going to visit my mom, stop by the post office, and take Goldie to get his nails clipped....



Today's challenge was name 5 things you do daily without fail.

1. Shower (cannot exactly walk around stinky.....)

3. Make my bed (even if it's 5 minutes before I get inside it.....LOL)

It's Friday baby...

Friday's have kinda lost their appreciation, since the kids are out of school....LOL

No more umph.....

HOwever, today I plan to go to my mom's for some good eats and fun in the sun...somewhat. It feels more like Fall than summer here. Today, we will struggle to hit 70's. But that's what you get in the wonderful city of Chicago, you never know what you will get.

Dh is at work, the kids are playing outside and i am CLEANING as usual. I have mopped all the floors. Cleaned the bathroom. Bee cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed all the floors and I have 3 loads of laundry to wash. I tell ya, I don't know how I do it....LOL

I haven't been blogging lately, because I have been really reading.... I love to read!

I am going to attempt to scrap this weekend too....Hasn't been going well. I cut down on my kits because they were sitting unused! Summer always does this to me. Somebody give me some INSPIRATION.... I need it. LOL

On another note, it has been almost 4 months since I last spoke to my brother.....I know crazy! He's estranged like that. I love him to death. I guess I am going to have to take a drive over there if I want to see my nieces and nephew..... He lives all the way in the city and I am going to be meaner than a wasp if he's not home.....LOL

He's in the dog house with my mom.....
He didn't call her for mother's day....I know SHOCKING.... He's weird that way! Of all the days not to call your mom.......But that's Marcus for ya.....LOL

Bonnie and Clyde are at again!!!

Bonnie and Clyde aka Jariel and Jaree strikes again. Friday, Baptiste and I went out to dinner to one of our favorite restaurants Hamada House of Japan...where they cook in front of you. The food is sooooo good. We always get the Land and sea which consists of steak and shrimp. Talk about good. It's Thai, sorta like stir fry, but better. I love their ginger sauce. They cook it up with chicken fried rice, onions, mushrooms, brocholi, and zuchinni....oh my God. But anyway, back to Bonnie and Clyde. I DO NOT ALLOW my children to go outside when I am not home! Call me old fashioned but we were not allowed to go out when my parents were not home until we were teens.....

Well, hubby gets a call in the middle of our dinner and it's Bee my oldest. He tells dh that Bonnie and Clyde went outside (first thing they did wrong) and took some paper towels, rolled them out, and set them on fire (second thing they did wrong, they know better than to be playing with fire), and set the whole drive way on fire. Oldest son had to put it out. First of all, they could have burned the house down, second they could have burned themselves, after that dh could not enjoy himself. He could not wait to get home. Needless to say they got what was coming to them. They are on punishment for ever...LOL


I am kind of upset with Bee, because where the heck was he when they went outside....oh let me guess on MYSPACE. DID I EVER TELL YOU HOW MUCH I HATE MYSPACE!!! One day I will tell you why! Just not today! LOL

Today I am going to a wedding! Love weddings. Some friends of ours are finaly tying the knot! Can't wait. I have to get showered and curl my hair. It starts at 5, but since dh is the dj, we have to be there by 3.

In my last blog, I think I may have mentioned Baptiste was on vacation... We have been sooo busy. Waterparks, beach, parks, bbqs, and picnics... Sadly today is his last day. It went by so fast. Too bad!

Did the weekend fly by or what?

Wow! Time sure flies when your having fun. Had a pretty sweet week! Spent some time at my parents which is always cool. Took the kids summer shopping. Spent tons of money! Boy if I didn't have any children I would be rich....LOL Jaree got tons of cute stuff. The boys are soo picky. Jaree ended up with 10 new outftts for summer. All shorts sets. Too cute! The boys are more picky. I think Jariel got 4 outfits. Bee only two. I have to take them to the swap! They want all these character shirts....Spongebob and Popeye......good lord.

Yesterday I cleaned my laundry room and gave Goldie Woldie a much needed bath. Never knew something so little can STINK SO BAD! LOL Now I have to take him to the groomers and get those freddy krueger nails clipped...LOL

On a bad note, Dh pissed me off so bad this week. I am not going to go into what happened. But he is definitely on my SHIT LIST! He's in the Dog house. Treading on thin ice. Everytime I think about it I get even madder so let me change the subject ....LOL


So who's watching Ex-wives club? Is it me or does this whole concept sound stupid. Some things should be PRIVATE. LOL Jilted exes help other jilted exes find love. Sounds interesting NOt!

Tommorrow, dh starts his vacation, normally I would be jumping up and down with joy, but I am still a little tart .... He won't get out of this one easy girls!!!!

My darned brakes are going bad, so I can't drive my car! So mad! Dh is getting them fixed next week. So I will be with out a car for a week. You never know how much you need something until its gone....LOL

Today, I am just bumming. Literally, I haven't done anything...I feel like a bad mom....LOL Kids had Mc Donald's. I had a crispy philly and I am done for the night.

Can't wait to watch Supernanny tonight....I know, I live such a fun life.....not....LOL

Times sure have changed!

When I was a child, I can remember racing home to watch afternoon cartoons. Most times they were on channel 50 upn or 32 Wfld. I loved watching such cartoons as the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Tom and Jerry, Woody Woodpecker, Top cat, Thundercats, Heman, Inspector gadgt etc.... I also used to watch Batman, Spiderman and Spectreman. I just realized that their are no afterschool specials. There are no cartoons on these networks anymore. Except for King of the Hill and the Simpson. NOt every child has cable. I guess with Disney channel,Nikelodean and Cartoon Network, those networks didn't feel the need to air cartoons anymore. It's just a death of an era I guess. However, I think it's so sad. I would love to share some of these cartoons with my children.....the only cartoon that still comes on is Tom and Jerry and these are the newer versions, not the Tom and Jerry of my day. It's kinda sad. Kwim?

I was flipping through my channels when I realized, hey what ever happened to Afterschool cartoons. I mean they were still doing it when I was in high school too. I watched the flinstones well into my teen years....LOL

I guess, since we have cable, I never noticed this change. I still think its a huge disservice to children who DO NOT have cable. Thank God they still have Saturday morning cartoons.

I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't watch Underdog, Top cat, Mighty Mouse and Droopy...LOL

It's going to be a scorcher guys.....

Today its going to be 92! OUch. I really don't like anything over 80 degrees. That's as hot as I like it..... Anything over that is stifling to me. It gets in my throat...LOL I haven't even really began summer shopping for the kids. Jaree has a ton of stuff. New bathing suits, cute capris, skirts, tanks.....I have to get some sandals and some all white k swiss and she will be alright. I love shopping for little girls. Some of favorite places are Target and Walmart. I like Kohls too! The boys are really basic white air forces ones, white tees, colorful tees shorts! NOthing major! LOL They are easy, but definitely not cheaper. LOL

Today, I really don't have much in the plans. Just cleaning my closet and trying to stay cool! LOL I am going to head over to starbucks and get my favorite....Vanilla bean frapp with carmel sauce. It's my guilty endulgence! LOL Another gulity pleasure of mine is carmel and cheese popcorn.. Will head to pick some of that up too!

I am going to check out ARchiver's and Mike's today. Dh gets off at 5, so I will head over once he gets off. got a little extra change.....LOL Few things I am looking for. I really need to bite the bullet and take the drive over to Windy City Scrapbooking. I reallly really, love this store. Wall to Wall scrapbook heaven! That is what it should be called. They always get the latest and greatest. I wish they would franchise out and come into the burbs.... A girl can dream huh?

I have some scrap plans two albums in the making so, I need to prepare for that. One is about my love of quotes and the other is for my daughter cheerleading competition pics....Total surprise for her!

So who's watching So you think you can dance. I love this show! It's my favorite show! Can't wait to see who makes the top twenty today. I will be watching tonight. My other favorite show supernatural is on hiatus until this fall. So I will be watching SYTYCD in it's place.

Well, gotta run and drop Bee off (my oldest) he's going swimming with his best friend NIc at his grandmother's house. This boy is always on the run, guess he's a typical teenager! LOL

Baby it's cold outside!

What else could you expect! It's Chicago! Get this it in the upper 50's today. By Thursday it's going to be 90. Crazy huh! Yep I know. Today, I am just going to chill out as much as possible. Jaree had her best friend Marissa spend the night and Jariel had his best friend Dave spend the night. House was total chaos. Fights over the television, the computer, the air mattress..... My head was throbbing by the end of the night....They finaly settled down. The boys declared victory, as the girls retreated to Jaree's bedroom to play school, paint, draw, color and play with Bratz.....typical girls huh? LOL

Baptiste is off today. Yay! I am so happy when he's off. I know i am not a school girl anymore, but the man still makes me blush. We slept in today and just snuggled. He is my official snuggle bunny. He went off to get my favorite mexican corn! Yummy. I love Elotes!

The boys are going to have a basketball tournament and get this guys .....they are betting SNICKERS! I almost fell out yesterday, when we were at walmart and all 4 of them were buying snickers for today. Now if that don't beat all.....LOL

I gotta see who's going to win!

We are going to the zoo this weekend, the kids are so geeked! The kids pick 10 things they want to do over summer and we do them all......and sometimes much more....LOL.

Picked some really good places this summer. Some include, Horseback riding, Fishing, Indiana Dunes, picnic at the beach, and Six flags.....

They also want to go camping, but this is soooooooooooo NOT DANA'S THING! Baptiste says we atleast have to consider it! I will have to do a whole lot of considering! LOL

Great weekend!

What a week! It was fun! Friday was the last day of school for Jariel and Jaree, Bee has been out almost 2 weeks now. Schools officially OUT FOR SUMMER. The song is in my head, remember School's out for summer.....

Friday we didn't do much. Dh worked, I stayed in with the kids, we watched movies in my bed until we fell asleep. Saturday we went to a friend house who graduated from college. He had a graduation party. It was really fun! After a few Bacardi silvers, I was feeling noooooo pain. Let me tell ya....LOL We ended up going by the club, to hear the other DJ play. Had a blast, didn't get home until almost 4 in the morning and guess who was still up....NONE OTHER THAN MR. BEE....up on the phone and AIM. I told him if he didn't get off the phone and go to bed, it was going to be ONE! LOL

Needless to say I woke up very late Sunday ......LOL We ended up going to Border's and Panera BRead! Yummy! Then we took my mil to see MR. BROOKS, yesterday. It was sooooooooooooooooooo goood! My dh thought the movie was about him.....He insisted we call him Mr. Brooks and made sure he told the cashier at the movies that his ticket should be free, because the movie was about him and made sure he showed her his Driver's License. She was so tickled, that she gave us tickets at Matinee price...I couldn't believe it. You gotta go see this movie. It was so good!

Today, not much on the to do list. Besides cleaning my room. It is atrocious! I can never keep my room clean. LOL Things just tend to accumulate in their. The rest of the house is soooo spotless though. Crazy huh? I really don't know what to do with myself, now that the kids are out of school. Guess I will enjoy sleeping in......LOL

Well, I am going to lay back down, got up pretty early with dh. He makes so much noise when he's getting ready for work...I guess since he has to get up, he wants everybody to get up with him. He turns on every light and makes a ton of racket. You would think he would get the hint after I slam the pillow down over my head and make a very lout sigh..... LOL

Well, I am off to get some more Z'ss it's only 6 in the morning.....LOL

Had a blast at the water park!

Yesterday we were supposed to just go swimming.....

Dh thinks he so slick..... He took us to Centennial Park Water Park, in Orland Park. We had a great time. Minus the fact that Jaree got sick again. She was coming down the water slide and she looked a little pale, told dh her head was hurting, then she said she was dizzy and bam passed out in the water. She immediately was sleepy and I got out of the water to be with her, because Jariel was somewhere else in the park. I got her some water, and her color started to come back. I told her that as soon as we found Jariel we would go home. She cried and screamed, and promised me she was ok. I only let her go down the slides with me and we got in the water together. About an hour before closing, she got out of the water. Got on a lawn chair and went to sleep.....I said that's it. LEt's pack it in and we went home. We bought Jerk chicken. She ate. She started complaining that her stomach hurted. Needless to say, she slept in my bed last night! My back is killing me....LOL

I made an appointment to see her Neurologist and her pediatrician. I think she let her self get too hungry. Her blood sugar may have been toooo low.

She missed school today, but it was only a half a day, she needs to be closely monitered. kwim?

Hubby took off work today.....YAY!! I so love it when he's home!

Whew, Good ole Chicago whether we can go from zero to 90 in a matter of days. Today it's going to be 91 degrees and yesterday it was 93! I so hate anything over 80 degrees. I wished it could be 80 degrees year round, except on Christmas then I want it to snow, but the next day can totally be 80.....LOL

I am home alone! Bee is OUT of school and is over his best friend Nic's house! His last day of school was last Friday. He couldn't wait to get away from us.....LOL Jaree and Jariel are at school. Their last day is this Friday. Time sure does go by fast! Before you know it, I will be buying school supplies and school clothes.....LOL Speaking I have to finish my summer shopping. Jaree has so many clothes it's pathetic. I gotta go for the boys. The boys said they don't want anything but wifebeaters (boy tanks) and shorts. Oh and white Air Force 1's. Jariel will definitely be getting black ones, because he is so freaking hard on shoes.

I totally wanna go see MR. BROOKS!!!! Not because it's my dh's name....LOL. It looks really, really good. I love a good suspense movie. YOu can't lose anyway with Kevin Costner....he's HOT!

Today, the kids have been bugging me to go swimming.....so I am going to take them to the pool. It's most definitely HOT ENOUGH! Jaree will be sporting the puff puff for most of the summer, I guess you are wondering what that is ..... Her hair is super curly, and I will be putting it all up in one pony tail and her hair is super puffy and that is why I call it the puff puff....LOL

Busy, Busy, fun, fun week

Somebody pinch me....
This week was such a whirl wind of good visits, good food, good fun...

I had a blast!
My dh's cousins came up from Minnesota (UNEXPECTABLY) and I had 3 adults and 6 extra children in the house ages 14,12,6,5,4,and 2. My head was spinning, but we had a good time. Sunday we all went out to TGIF's and took Austin, dh's new husband on a tour of downtown and Navy Pier. MOnday, we went to 3 bbq's. I ate myself into an oblivion, I don't even want to look at any food. I had beef ribs, baby back ribs, burbon chicken,fried catfish, deep fried turkey, shrimp kaboobs, baked beans, potato salad, spaghetti, greens, peach cobbler and carmel cake. I even snuck a few watermelon martini's in..... I also had my favorite, green apples with cream cheese and fluff.......tooooooooooooooooo goood!

After all that bad eating....LOL Today I took a walk around the neighborhood. Ate a salad and am just chillin'!

My guests have all gone this morning, early this morning, on their 14 hour drive back to Black Duck, Minnesota.

Today, I am just as lost as can be.... No more Idol! What will I be watching from 7-8? LOL

Gotta go get the kids soon, and I really need to tidy up...will post more later...

I've been a bad blogger lately

I haven't been blogging as much as I normally do.....Why? I have really been busy getting my house in order. I have been (GET THIS) planting flowers, helping dh in the yard, making plans on building the second bathroom. Picking colors....gettting excited!

I have also been spending alot of time with MS. JAREE! Poor Jaree does not have alot of friends since we moved and I have been her new bestfriend. We have been makig cards, making bracelets, playing bratz, hopscotch, jump rope, going to the park....so I have been busy...LOL

Dh is really dedicated to his YARD. He went out and bought an electric edger, a blower, and electric hedger. HE looks so cute outside with his wifebeater tee shirt on, flip flops and shorts. I go out and bring him water and a cool towel every now and then. There's nothing more sexy than a man and his power tools.....heehee! I love that man. He's sooooo hot! LOL

Bee my oldest is out of school. He took his last final Thursday. Can't believe I am going to have a SOPHMORE this year. He was sooooo happy to be done with all his final exams! He has been doing nothing but sleeping. Woke up at noon today, I didn't bother him. Just let him sleep in. He had his best friend Austyn sleep over last night, no telling what they stayed up all night doing.. Last week they were prank calling.....this week I think they stayed up all night on AIM, talking to girls. Oh the lovely life of a teenager.....LOL

This is going to be a hectic weekend for us. It's Memorial Day weekend, will be goign to the cemetary to put flowers on my grandmother's grave. Doing a lot of cooking and baking. We are going to friends house on Sunday and my mom's on Monday. Should be fun.

Saturday I am going to Archivers to see if they got the Elsie line in...since they do carry KI. If they do I will let all you know.....

Today, I am just going to chill out and get some laundry done! Not toooo much planned for today, since every other day this weekend will be super busy...

Oh no! Cicadas

Ok, have I ever told you how much I hate BUGS. This is the MOTHER of all bugs. Its so ugly and so creepy and they are already rearing their ugly little heads here in Illinois. I have to deal with these creepy bugs for 6 weeks to 2 months. They just fall on you.....ughhhhhh. They are so nasty. They are so loud. I know we only have to deal with them every 17 years, but why do they have to come at all. They kill trees. They are just ugly little pests.

Can you believe some people EAT THESE THINGS....are they freaking CRAZY? That is soooooo nasty! Ultra gross. I would never eat a bug! Not even for a million dollars.....LOL

My mom saw one in her yard and totally freaked out. We are totally alike when it comes to bugs....LOL

Not Jaree, she loves bugs! She can't wait to see the cicadas.....this girl is A NUT!

Feeling much better....

For a few days there, I thought I wasn't going to make it.......LOL

But, I am feeling much better. I have an appintment to see the doctor on Thursday. Wish me well. I had a great weekend. I had a surprise housewarming party, I had cancelled the one in April. I got soooooo much stuff. I was so happy. Mostly everything I got was for the kitchen, exactly what I wanted. My kitchen is RED. So I love all of my new appliances. My mom totally shocked me with this one. LOL

I am watching dancing with the stars. I am totally rooting for Layla Ali. I will be voting tonight! Who cannot love Ms. Ali!!!

Ok, who watches CHARMED SCHOOL! Tell me some of you watch this show with Monique and the former contestants of Flavor of Love 1 and 2. Ok, I just watched Sunday's episode today. Sunday I went to my cousins house to play spades and have dinner and I was soooooooo mad I missed it. So I caught it today. I am really starting to dislike LARISSA aka BOOTS. She stole Leiline aka Smileys pictures and hid them under Schtar aka Hotties bed and she got expelled for it. She talks so much CRAP, I just want to reach thru the tv and smack her. I will be so glad when she gets expelled! Can't wait to see when New York comes next week. Wanna see how much MOUTH she will have then.....LOL I know I get so caught up into reality tv....LOL

Today I am just chillin out and getting my house back in order from the housewarming party on Saturday...I had atleast 30 people here and I had to do a total over haul.....LOL

Also, I need to know how you would feel about this: Everytime I give something, my in laws always come and eat, but they never ever never bring a gift. It makes me so upset sometimes because I would never do that. I just look at them as freeloaders.....they always bring extra people with them too. Maybe I am wrong, but it just annoys me...

Still here

Yesterday I was in sooooo much pain, I should have gone to the ER. I had excrutiating pain in the lower left side of my stomach. It hurt so bad. It felt almost like something was about to burst. The location its in feels like its my ovary. I have been putting heat on it. However,if I still feel bad, I will have to just go. I hate going to the doctor. Just wanted to let everyone know I was still around, but I am not feeling well at alll.....

This girl, I tell ya. She is a HOT MESS! That's for sure! Somebody please tell me what she was thinking? I get my eyebrows threaded or waxed, so she has never seen me shave my eyebrows. How did she even know that you shave eyebrows.

when I asked her why she did it? Of course the shrugged shoulders, meaning "I DON'T KNOW". Her dad thought she had ring worm.....LOL He's a whole other subject.

The boys have been getting in trouble for messing with her. They say she looks like the peanuts on the PROUD FAMILY movie.....LOL Big brothers, you gotta love em'.

When I was younger my mom used to alway curl my hair in a MUSHROOM, flipped under all the way around. My brother used to call me JAMES BROWN.... I would cry my eyes out. I was so glad, when the feather hair style came out. I never wore my hair in a mushroom again......LOL Also, my mom had a leather coat with fur around the collar, from the 60's. I loved this coat. My brother told me I looked like Diana Ross and the Supremes and I never wore the coat again......LOL


Well today went to school with her eyebrows just like that. Dh said he was not going for her eyebrows being pencilled in. You just don't know how bad I wanted to do it......LOL

Hey, will her eyebrows grow back thick now? Since she shaved them with a razor? NOw she may look like wolfman jack! LOL

Jaree decides that she's a beautician and cut off her EYEBROWS!

She looks so weird! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I think the latter. What the heck was she thinking! She decides to cut her eyebrows off with a razor, on MOTHER'S DAY! I don't have my camera, otherwise their would be pics. I may take some on my camera phone and upload them that way. HOw am I going to send her to school looking like this???? I think she will be the only 8 year old ever to have penciled in eyebrows......LOL


I must have been really horrible in a former life.....LOL

Enjoying my morning...

Just got home from dropping the kids off! Stopped by 7-11 to get coffee. Came home. Kicked my shoes off. Jumped into my bed ....cut on the news.... and was so shocked to see my hunk of a man Ty Pennington got charged with a dui. I really feel bad for him. I love his show! Always makes me cry. It's a wake up call for so many people who think they are still in control after drinking and go out and drive. My dad had to learn the hard way, when he wrapped his truck around a light pole. My dad was one of those people who always thought he was in control. I remember many times, my mom used to demand the keys from him because he had one too many. I remember once, she refused to ride with him and had my uncle drive us home. Dad made it home just fine, but that was luck.... and his luck ran out! I don't drink much, and would never get behind the wheel of my car drunk. So glad dh doesn't drink at all......so I always have a designated driver....LOL

Soon summer vacation will be here and all the kids will be home. I am sooo looking forward to it. I kinda miss my babies when they are at school. All three come home with a story to tell from school. Do your kids do that ? Jaree gives me a full synopsis of her whole day. Jariel gives me only the basics. But Bee, always comes home talking about a fight or an argument that he witnesed. That nut! I tell ya. Wonderful world of high school.

Today, I don't have tooo much planned. However, you know I will be watching American Idol and HOuse. I love those two shows!

Getting ready to watch Oprah. Today is a good show! Battered wives caught on tape. I don't know why women stay in those types of situations. I am too outspoken and fiesty for that type of crap. I will be damned if a man lays one FINGER on me. He'd sure wish he didn't. When I was done dumping some hot grits on his butt.....LOL My cousin and good friend was in abusive relationships and it took forever for them to leave. My friend boyfriend even beat her pregnant. My brother was dropping me over to see her and we pulled up and there Paul was pulling Tori out of the car by her hair. My brother body slammed him so quick. Men like that are cowards, they are quick to put their hands on a female, but he couldn't do anything with my brother. She left him soon after that too...

Can't believe it's Monday already.
We had a really great weekend! Now it's back to the grind. I had to wake up just a wee bit earlier because I washed Jaree's hair last night and let it air dry. I put it into 6 thick braids, I swear she looked like Celie on the Color PUrple....LOL I had to wake up and comb her hair out and I just put it into two ponytails. When she gets home, I will flat iron it and put into lots of pony tails. Girls are a piece of work....

Right now I am home alone....

The kids went to see Spiderman, with their Aunt Tekoa .....they loved it! I was sorta bummed because I wanted to take them, but hey I let her do her Auntee thing....LOL

She's pregnant, due October 1st. I can't imagine little Tekoa being a mom. I met her when she was 11 years old. Now she's 28. She is so independent and into her career, this going to be a site to see.

My mommy is stil not home....Boohoo. She should be back sometime this week. My uncle's knee replacement surgery went well. So they are just enjoying each other..Twins, you gotta love em.

Today not much planned, just watching Dancing with the Stars...

The weekend has finally arrived!!!

What is about Friday that makes me wanna jump to my feet and dance and clap my hands, and sing the song "Just got paid....it's friday night...party jumping, feeling right, booty shaking, all around, know one thing, now I am getting down....check the mirror, looking fly.....round up the possee, jump in my ride....ok, you I think yall get it...LOL Do you remember Johnny Kemp? That was a jam back in the day. LOL


Today is kinda cloudy! Maybe some rain. Not much planned at all for today, dh is going to work tonight. Some serious DJing. My nephew are coming over Cleavon 16, Cardiae 16, Joshua 14, and Justin 11. Will have a house full! LOL They are having a FOOTWORK battle. LOL Sounds like fun! Chicago has its own style of dance called Juke and footworking, pretty neat. I would weigh alot less doing that everyday. YOu should see how fast they move their feet....LOL

As for me, I am going to do laundry. Finish reading my Book Dirty Red and just enjoy some good ole Dana time. Jaree is going to be my shadow, because she is going to be the ony girl in the house. So she will want to spend every waking moment with mommy. Maybe we will do something crafty, before she goes to bad.


I was watching the news and another mother went missing. They don't supsect the husband right now, because he is being cooperative, but wasn't Scott Peterson cooperative. Didn't he even help in the search? Just gives me the chills. It's sad that the first suspect is usually the husband. I guess its a sign of the times. My heart goes out to her family.

Today dh is off and we got up early dropped the kids off and hit the streets. First we went to the Robbins swap. It's a flea market, and dh bought some music of course. And who can resist the sock man, 16 pairs of socks for 5 bucks. Priceless! Then we went to Borders......oh how do I love Borders. Of course I bought some magazines. Finally broke down and got Computer Tricks for Scrapbooking, Scrapbook Shortcuts, and the latest issue of Papercrafts. They had some really cute pens, did I mention I am a pen freak....I bought two. Then off to Panera Bread, where dh met up with a dj friend. He started his own little company called plug one dj's and he is so serious about it. you should see him. Didn't know DJing could be so SERIOUS....LOL.

While he is consumed with SERIOUS BUSINESS, I stole his laptop and guess what I am doing. YOu guessed it blogging! Checking emails, and doing some serious eating....LOL I treated myself to some iced green tea and cream of chicken and wildrice in a sourdough bread bowl. then I got some yummy french bread. Bread is soooooo my weakness ladies. Bread and potatoes. I can live off of both. Can a man live by bread alone.....I don't know about the man, but DANA sure can....LOL

Today is yet another beautiful day! That I am enjoying with dh. Just not at the moment he is in serious DJ MODE....LOL He gets this silly look on his face when he's serious. ONe eyebrow raised, button lip pushed out. I just crack up everytime I see him!

Ok, now it's time for some serious idol talk. I am glad Lakisha and Melinda were safe! But who do you think it will come down too. Alot of people are speculating that the final two will be Jordan and Blake...... I don't think so. I think it will be Melinda and Blake, because to me, they are the best! I am rooting for Lakisha and Melinda! But I think that she will be definitely going home next week. Too bad so sad.

Did I ever tell you how much I love the show SUPERNATURAL. Those are two of the hottest television brothers on the planet Jared Padelecki and Jensin Ackles. It comes on tonight and guess who will be watching....Dana!

I am going to end with a funny story from last night. Last night i had took my shower, got in my pj's and got into bed. Dh was downstairs practicing his music and I was under the covers watching television. The ring two came on, and I decided I would be a brave girl and watch it all by my lonesome. Jaree came in and it was on the part, where she snuck into the ambulance and looked at the dead boy, while zipping his body bag up , Somara stuck her hand out and grabbed Rachel, Jaree screamed and got the heck out of dodge.....I thought it was funny. Then I was all alone, I kept hearing something at the window, I thought something was outside.....and I got scared and turned it off. That's exactly what I get, for laughing at Jaree.

Oh well, I gotta go, dh needs his macbook back for some SERIOUS DJ BUSINES.....LOL

It's a beautiful day in the neigHBORHOOD....

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, It's a beautiful day for a neighbor, won't you be, please won't you be, won't you be my neighbor!!!! As you can tell I am feeling silly. Today is gorgeous. Nice and sunny. Tad bit cooler than yesterday, but still nice. Have I ever told you how much I love spring. Such a time of renewal. I love to sit in the yard and bird watch. I love watching the squirrels play. going to my mom's, who lives on the lake and watching the baby duckling strut around, watching the baby rabbits emerge from their burrows. I love watching the trees bud and flowers grows. Speaking of flowers, Dana will be planting her very first flowers this weekend. I am sooooo excited. Dh cut the grass and put down some weed kill, we had a million dandelions, or as Jaree refers YELLOW FLOWERS....why did we all think that dandelions were little flowers....LOL I know I did!

Today, I am getting out an enjoying nature. Taking a midday walk around the neighborhood. Hanging out in the yard. Taking deep breaths. I love the smells of spring! I just love it.

When I was a child I used to love how the clothes smelled at spring time, when my grandmother hung the clothes on the line. They smelled so heavenly.

Lots of things planned this spring! We are going to the zoo, the botanical garden, and to Indiana Dunes....
Should be fun!


My mom is gone, bohoooo. She went to Memphis to visit her TWIN BROTHER. Hey Adrienne, my mom has a twin brother too. He's undergoing knee replacement surgery. They are sooo close. When my mom had her surgery on her colon to remove a cancerous cyst, he was right there. A funny story goes along with this... if you can believe it. We were all in the waiting room, scared as all get out. I sat next to uncle Maurice (my mom's twin) and we were talking about 15 minutes later, he leaned his head way back and just went to sleep. My aunt Carrie, his wife said, Theresa (my mom) must be under. It was scary, he just went to sleep that fast. Then he woke up and aunt Carrie said, Theresa is woke. 15 minutes later, the doctors cam out to tell us my mom is in recovery and she's been up now for about 15 minutes. Is that crazy or what? My uncle got into a bad motorcycle accident, and my mom went to stand up and fell, she couldn't put any pressure on her leg, I was a little girl. I was crying, because she said, I can't walk, something happened to Maurice and it's bad. He broke his leg in 6 places. They always feel each other's pain. IT's crazy.

I miss my mom already. We normally talk everyday! So this week is going to be a little hard for me...... I know. I am such a big baby. LOL Hoping the time flies by....LOL

Well I gotta clean my room, it looks like a hurricane, tornado, tsunami, and earthquake hit it. Seriously. I can't stand it anymore so I am going to clean it.. Dh is such a slob....LOL But, I love him anyway.

An end of a wonderful weekend!

Can't believe its Monday already!

We had a very busy and fun weekend. Saturday we visited friends, visited my husband's grandmother, and went to China Buffet for dinner. The kids came home and we camped out in my room and watched Monster's House for the gazillioneth time. We love this movie in our house....LOL

Sunday, we went over to my cousins house, my nephew Kendell was in town, and we spent time with him. Then we went out to dinner at Golden Corrall. Yes, we went out to eat two days in a row. I wasn't complainig! Dh said we are cooking at home for the rest of this month. I found this funny, being April is over on Tuesday....LOL

We had a good time. The kids were in the parking lot dancing. Doing their footwork. We closed up the restaurant, we were the last people there. It was 17 of us! The kids were in the parking lot almost an hour battling each other...

Baptiste (dh) decides to get out there and do his thing, and the kids were crying from laughter. Dh has absolutely noooooooo rhythm. The kids were tickled, by this. Everyone was laughing. But that's Baptiste, he's a big ole clown. Gotta love 'em!

I am kinda bummed, because I missed Charmed School and Celebrity Fit Club! I love those shows! Monique is hilarious!

Today not much planned, just chillin. I need to do laundry, that's about it! Going to enjoy my day! I am home alone and I can have some much needed mommy time!

The weekend is here....

TGIF!!!!! Something about Fridays makes me want to jump up and do the Happy Dance! Today not much planned, just a lazy day. I am done with cleaning. Just a couple of loads of laundry and that's all folkes. I do plan to get scrappy today with Jaree. My new scrapping buddy...LOL

My oldest is in hot water. Why did he go get both of his ears pierced without our permission. His daddy was LESS than thrilled. I thought fire was going to shoot out of his nose. He's grounded until death.....LOL

Teenagers, you gotta love em'.

On a the bright side of things, he looks to stinkin cute ......LOL

I have to boast for one second, Jaree got her local assessments and she's reading at a 5th grade level and she's in second grade. She is mommy's little book worm. She loves to read. She was so looking forward to a Borders gift card, for her birthday, but it didn't happen....LOL I will take her to get a new book or two Saturday. She loves Junie B. Jones and now has found two of my favorite childhood authors Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. I am so proud of her. She is a walking talking miracle. Its really amazing at how intelligent she is....it defies all odds. I am so thankful to God too!

Dh is off today.....woohoooo. I get to snuggle for hours! Yay! He is my big ole teddy bear. I love him to death! We probably will hibernate under the covers until it's time to pick the kids up....then he will be preparing for his gig tonight boooooohooo!

Dinner and a movie!!

Finally got a chance to see DISTURBIA....and it was very disturbing! Boy was it an edge of your seat thriller. Took my mom to dinner and a movie (Hollywood Blvd). It was her first time there. She really enjoyed herself. We spent most of the day together. We went to breakfast. My dad met up with us.... Then we ran some errands with dh. Picked the kids up some Harold's chicken. Went to Walmart and then we went to the movies...

I froze my but off because it was so cold. Way too early for air contiditioning. Why o why, did I decide to wear flip flops...Felt like chilly willy when we left. I almost killed dh, because on the way home I had the heat on blast.

Today was a great day. Love these types of days. Even though it was gloomy and rainy, I had a great day...

Now I have to flat iron Jaree's hair, tommorrow is PICTURE DAY...

At random...

Just got home from taking the kids to school....whew...
Right now I am just checking email and watching the news...Why do I even watch the news, It's always depressing. They just ran a breaking news story: While a mother was at work, her ex boyfriend came into her home and killed (slit the throats) of her two son ages 12 and 14, stabbed and sexually assaulted her 13 year daughter, who managed to get away, so sad. What is the world coming too. It turns out he was child sex offendor. Craziness!

Today, I am going to my mom's to pick up a few of my things ....
I still have a few of my belongings there I need to pick up...

Dh is off today, which is a good thing!


Please say a prayer for my mom, she went to the oncologist yesterday, to get her 6 month check up, to make sure the cancer did not return. She's always so nervous! I am sure she's fine! She was diagnosed with colon cancer in July of '04. She has been cancer free since "05. Praise God!

Today I am getting prepared for Jaree's sleepover. I will have 13 girls between the ages of 6-11 sleeping over. Somebody pray for me....LOL

Jaree is really looking forward to it.

Today I will wipe down the air matress! Put new lines on the let out bed, and sanitize all the carpets.

I have to order her cake today and go to the grocery store to pick up hamburgers and hot dogs. WE will be grilling, since it going to be in the 70's. I have to order her balloons, and wash her hair, so that I can straigten it AGAIN. UGH! It takes forever because her hair is super curly and thick. Torture! LOL

She has to wear it straight! this chicka is something else....LOL

I have so much to do, I need to get started...

Again, pray for me! I remember how my sleepovers were....Nobody went to sleep, we giggled all night long, catfights, oh the fun! NOT!

CRAZY, CRAZY DAY....

Last night I had the weirdest dream.... I always try to interpret them, but I dreamed that, I had no where to go and I still had the keys to my old townhome. We secretly moved back in with all of our belongings. One day I was looking out the door and some of my old neighbors pulled in the driveway, they were screaming and yelling because they didn't want me there...I got so scared, because we were not supposed to be there first of all, didn't want to go to jail, so I told dh and kids to pack up our stuff, Dh protested and said we didn't have anywhere else to go, and while we were talking my old landlord Hani and car load of people pulled up, we all got on the floor and got really quiet. Hani and his friends began to look inside the windows, which were tinted and Jariel my youngest son had his head in the air, made him lay down, then dh started making faces at them, like he was trying to get us caught...next thing I know I hear this really loud yelp, which woke me up out of my sleep. It was my dh! He got a shooting pain in his arm and then it went numb. I tried to make him go the doc, but he refused. I took the kids to school came back, he was still in considerable pain. He took some pain pill and went to sleep, woke up I was on my way to pick Jaree up from school to take her to see the neurologist for a follow up and then he looks at me and says....Baby I need to go to the doctor. Turns out he has a very bad sprain and needs to take it easy...

He does toooo much at work and I tell him that all the time. walgreens is going to be the death of my husband. They work him like a slave...I hate it!

Anyway, today not too much planned. Some lite laundry, washing the floors, and changing the linens...

Today I am cooking pot roast, mash potatoes, cabbage, corn, and corned bread...

Watching my favorite show SUPERNATURAL

and working on a scrapbook project for my daughter, all of her cheerleading pictures are going into a circular chipboard album! Painted all the boards, now all I have to do is embellish.....stay tuned...for the completed project.
